Last Sunday was the first Sunday of this year that felt like spring on Coney Island; topless middle-aged men listened to Zeppelin on the boardwalk in the sun, young parents chased their toddlers in the sand, teenaged couples embraced on the beach, and New Yorkers stood outside of Nathan's enjoying hot dogs. Spring is on its way, and, at least in Brooklyn, you can feel the warm weather excitement breezing back into the city.
