Winter, Waiting

Brian and I are people who like to be on the move, so much of our free time is spent enjoying long walks through the woods and late afternoon drives to Potters Marsh, Beluga Point, and beyond. Just because. Sometimes we grab cups of tea along the way, and sometimes, we just hold hands and enjoy one another and the beauty that surrounds us. With so much ahead of us (and inside one of us), these moments, we know, are so precious. We mean it when we say that we do not need much in the way of material things, and I suppose it's because we feel that we already have everything and more. Alaska winters and good love will do that to you: they'll make you appreciate every bit of light.
