Brian and I are always on the look-out for good new music, but so often, we don't have to look very far. This is certainly the case with Anchorage sweetheart Evan Phillps' new album, Goodnight My Dearest Stranger, released in March of this year, which is comprised of ten amazing tracks that Brian and I have had on repeat for weeks. Each track is a nod to some of Phillips' earlier work with the Whipsaws and Easton Stagger Phillips, with folky strums, head nods, and hand claps, but has a whimsy that propels it somewhere else that's deeply personal. It feels like leaving, like moving on, and yet returning to home, or perhaps to one's self. We like it a lot, and we think you will, too.
Rock on, Evan!
